The Spiegeltent

For one week only

Back at the turn of the last century the Spiegeltents would tour around towns in the Low Countries, something like a circus would, staying a while before moving on, perhaps to be back another year. Even then their design was intended to reflect a sumptuous level of style distinct from any other place of entertainment in the town. Over the years their unique design and hand-crafted construction, expressing another more elegant era, has only increased their impact: a Spiegeltent is quite unlike any other club, theatre or bar, and a Spiegeltent event gains an atmosphere that no year-round venue can provide.

While we’ve got it, we’ll try to make the most of it: every afternoon Children’s entertainers and activities means we can share the space with the next generation of audience, and we’re going to be running early evening music in the tent or the bar area (depending on set-up requirements for the evening show) for an elegant or open-air ambience to hang out in before your evening gets underway.

Yes, once again, for one week only (well, 10 days, but who’s counting?) Bath Fringe brings you music, comedy and cabaret from acts who don’t visit the city over the rest of the year, in a place that you’ll have to visit now because it won’t be there in a week’s time. How much more unmissable can it be?
